New Year's Grey
We are back from a brief visit with our daughter at her home in the far, frozen north. Things have not changed much from the the day after Christmas. The sky is grey, the temperatures mild and the lake only slightly frozen. There were a few people walking out onto the lake the past few days to do some ice fishing but no shacks or vehicles as yet. Ice conditions are still poor and with a bit of a melt the past 2 days they are not improving. Some areas can support careful, walk out ice fishing but check ice thickness before going onto the ice. Vehicles and shacks should stay off for now.
