Docks Up
One of the big chores each spring is getting our docks ready and in the water. Each section has to be moved, put in the water, joined to the other sections and anchored to the bottom. Often repairs are needed, sometimes to the docks and sometimes to the anchors. Either way a wet suit and some cold water are involved. This year we undertook the ambitious task of replacing an entire dock. The new design allows more space for each slip to accommodate some of the wider boats that are becomming more popular. The project took 3 weeks of intense work and about $10,000. We sure hope they last so we can get our money back!
