We are located about 100 miles ( 161 km ) west of Ottawa, Ontario, the capital of Canada. The nearest city is Pembroke app. 32 miles ( 51 km ) to our north. Our nearest neighbor is the Village of Eganville. We are 10 miles ( 16 km ) west of Eganville on the 6000 acre Lake Clear. The lake can be found on most atlas and road maps of Ontario.

Driving Directions

From Ottawa, Ontario

Leave Ottawa on Highway 17 west traveling to the town of Renfrew. From Renfrew travel on Highway 60 west to the Village of Eganville. Turning left at the traffic light in the village will put you on Highway 41. Stay on Highway 41 as it travels a short distance through the village until you come to the junction with Highway 512. ( There is a Shell gas station at that intersection ) Turn right onto Highway 512 and proceed west about 10 miles ( 16 km ) to Lake Clear Road. ( Watch for the sharp left turn that Highway 512 makes shortly after you turn onto it. ) Turn left at Lake Clear Road and travel 1 mile to our sign. There you are!

From the U.S. via US Interstate 81

Cross into Canada via the Thousand Islands Bridge and proceed onto Canadian Highway 401 westbound. Travel past the City of Kingston to Napanee, Ontario where you will exit the expressway onto Provincial Highway 41 north. Travel north and enjoy one of the most pleasant drives in Ontario. Over the next two hours you will pass through the villages of Kaladar, Northbrook and Cloyne before passing into the hill country of the Ottawa Valley. Amuse yourself by trying to pronounce some of our place names. After crossing the Madawaska River at the town of Griffth, ( don't blink or you'll miss it ) you will encounter a series of steep rolling hills. Keep a sharp watch for the turn that Highway 41 will make shortly. ( If you come to the settlement of Dacre you have missed the turn ) As you come down a steep grade you will need to turn left at the bottom to stay on Highway 41. Stay on 41 to Eganville where you will turn left onto Highway 512. ( There is a Shell gas station at that intersection ) Turn left onto Highway 512 and proceed west about 10 miles ( 16 km ) to Lake Clear Road. ( Watch for the sharp left turn that Highway 512 makes shortly after you turn onto it. ) Turn left at Lake Clear Road and travel 1 mile to our sign. There you are!

From Toronto, Ontario

Grit you teeth and face the traffic on 401 eastbound towards Bowmanville. At Bowmanville, exit the 401 onto Highway 115 north to Peterborough. At Peterborough take the Highway 7 east bypass instead of going through town. Travel east on 7 to the junction with Highway 134. Turn left onto 134 to Lakefield where you will turn east ( right ) onto Highway 28. Stay on 28 through Bancroft and continue to the community of Hardwood Lake. ( don't blink or you'll miss it ) At Hardwood Lake, Highway 28 makes a right towards Denbigh. DO NOT TURN ! but, continue straight onto Highway 514. Stay on 514 through the community of Schutt to the junction with Highway 515. Turn right onto 515 and continue through the Opeongo Hills to the junction with Highway 512. Turn right onto 512 and travel past the community of Foymount. ( the highest settled point in Ontario and probably the windiest ) You will go down a steep hill past St. Anne's church and shrine at Cormac. After Cormac watch for the sign indicating Lake Clear Road. Turn right onto Lake Clear Road and travel about 1 mile to our resort.
