Things to do at Opeongo
Opeongo Mountain Resort is a complete, family facility
with plenty to do for folks with a variety of interests. We have great fishing, yet we are much more than your usual fishing lodge. Here the entire family can relax
and play in an outdoor setting and still be close to the creature comforts that we have become
accustomed to. With over 265 acres it is hard not to find something to
enjoy.

Try a self guided hike over our extensive trail system pausing to take in the view from one of our
scenic overlooks. Our trail guide brochure will point out the way and explain the history of the
area as you travel your route.

Or you might
spend an afternoon taking in the sun and a swim on our safe, sandy beach. With its gradual drop
even toddlers can splash and play under their parent's supervision.

Kids can let their imagination run wild in
our playground with its tree house and multiple slides. Shaded under our tall maple trees it is a
cool and inviting play spot.

Kids of all ages like to visit
the game room in our lodge. Pool, ping pong and an assortment of arcade games are
available for entertainment at a modest cost.

Shoot a few hoops at our
basketball net or get up a game of baseball on our diamond. Volleyball, badminton and horse shoe
pits round out the outdoor games we provide. Balls, rackets, shuttlecocks and other equipment is
available on loan from our office.

The waters of Lake Clear offer more
than great fishing for those who like their fun wet. Check out a pedal boat or canoe for a cruise
along the shore or rent boat and motor for a day of island exploring on one of the lake's many
public islands. For those that bring their own equipment, Lake Clear provides a great environment
for water skiing and sail boarding.

Out here away from the city
lights the stars seem to be at arm's reach. With a bit of luck and a clear night you might witness a
meteor shower or the dancing beauty of the northern lights. Even on a cloudy night, the sound of
the loon's call against the background of the frogs' chorus will be a memory long remembered. If a
group is interested, a late night Magical Mythical Tour of the Heavens can be arranged.

Weekends are always special during the warmer months
with a camp movie in the barn every Friday night and our Saturday
Night Ghost Walk.

When the campground
closes and snowflakes fall Opeongo still has much to offer our cottage guests. Ice fishing,
snowmobiling, snow shoeing and cross country skiing are all popular winter activities.
